Potty Training

Is there anything cuter than little boys briefs? I'll answer for you.. NO!! Especially when they stay dry for hours and hours :) We started potty training Micah last Saturday and I have to admit, I was NOT optimistic. BUT, he's doing great! We are using pull-ups for naps and diapers at night... he's nowhere close to night-time potty training... but during the day it's all underwear. His peeing accidents are getting fewer and farther between (up to a full 24 hours without even a half accident) and he has had 1 #2 accident and then went #2 on the potty once! I am staying cautiously optimistic that this may not be nearly as bad as I had expected.... I do feel like I am jinxing myself by writing that :P

So here is a fun story that avoids the overshare aspect of the first paragraph --> Micah has heard Nate and I referring to "potty training" a lot recently and he had his own interpretation of the term....

Me- "Micah, do you need to go to the potty?"
Micah- "Yeah, potty!!... Potty training!... Choo choo!!, choo choo! CHOO CHOO!!!"

nice :)

Disney Highlights~ Day 7!!

Our final day at Disney was spent in Animal Kingdom and it was perfect! Some of us ran into our favorite character of all time....

We took bouncing lessons with Tigger....

and smiled pretty for the camera.

We pretended to be super scary dinosaurs....

and got stuck on a ride for at least 20 minutes.....

...while others entertained the kiddos.

We finally let the youngest boy take his turn at driving...

While his female counterpart flirted with faceplant disaster... over and over and over.

We made some fun faces,

and dropped in on tigers.

and at the end, we took a rickshaw into the sunset.

We had such a great trip, and this park was the perfect place to end it!

Disney Highlights~ Day 6

On Day 6 we decided to let the three year old drive...

and of course the two year old too.

Under careful supervision, of course.

There was one boy considered a teensy bit young to drive, but he didn't seem to mind.

Some of us made a new best friend...

...and made sure to keep careful watch over him.

Some of us found ourselves in a tight spot and may not have been thrilled to have it documented.

We figured out the most fun ways to make it from point A to point B...

... trying some methods for the first time ever.

We may have been cold, but we didn't let it get us down.

We seized every opportunity to practice our synchronized diaper changing skillz.... with a z ;-)

Some of us decided to learn a new skill....

..and we mastered it, all on our own!

We found riding our first roller coaster to be a hair raising experience.

and at the end of the day, one of us finally got the prize we had been waiting for.

Disney Highlights~ Day 5

Day 5 brought us to Hollywood Studios which pleasantly surprised us with it's great rides, stunt shows, theater shows, and of course it's giant hat~

Sorcerer Mickey was there to greet us in the animator's gallery where we also got to insert our voices into classic Disney movies (among other activities)~

We had a blast at Playhouse Disney Live~

and Handy Manny hung around to hob knob with the commoners...

who were thrilled to meet him.

We shrunk to the size of ants and explored the backyard playground~

We may have even done some less than encouraged things in there...

Some munchkins played music on stems of grass...

When it came to sliding down leaves, some did it traditionally...

.... others not so much~

Some of us even got caught in the spider's web.

Some of us discovered that phone booths are just our size...

Mickey conducted the magical brooms with ease...

while nearby, we all sported our 3D glasses to kick some gaming booty at Toy Story Midway Mania.

Later that night, some of us went to Downtown Disney for Cirque du Soleil and to hang out with the tourists at the Lego store.

just two days left...

Disney Highlights~ Day 4

Nothing starts the day off right like a good old eyeless smile....

and of course a breakfast at Chef Mickey's.

Where crushes on fictional characters are always acceptable...

and puppy dogs always give the best hugs.

There is always someone to look up to....

no really, ALWAYS someone to look up to.

Mice in this restaurant are welcome at any time....

and pictures with them are encouraged.

After we ate we went to the park where Pooh bear shared his favorite toys with us....

and the bees led us straight to the honey...

but we kept an eye out for paparazzi....

Of course you have to throw them a bone every now and then.

We made sure to have two knowledgeable guides at all times...

Even if they did lead us into outer space.

We returned to hassle the elephants anew....

but we made sure to bring a peace offering with us.... sugar.

We chilled out on a train....

and a bench.

and took a very important timeout for kisses.

and after all that, we made sure to take plenty of time to rest..... hard :)
