2 Months

Janie bear is two months old today.... er, well technically she's 2 months old on February 3oth.... which doesn't exist.... sooooooo, yeah..... but hey, if it wasn't leap year I'd be cheating by TWO days.... so, yeah.

Anyhoo, Jane is two months oldish today! Our little girl has already been such a joy for us. She is smiling more and more and has this little baby giggle that has been popping up a lot lately and I find it completely irresistable. She is mostly a content baby and probably is the happiest baby I've had. She is getting better at sleeping and does at least one long stretch each night in the pack n play.

Jane loves her siblings and enjoys it when they talk to her and "play" with her. She smiles at them and tracks them across the room. I'm not sure how close she really is to rolling over, but Jane has started rolling onto her side while trying to get off of her stomach during tummy time and she will teeter on the brink of success and then flop back on her stomach. After bath time she gets the most adorable fuzzy hair that sticks straight up and is SO soft. We are a big fan of Jane and can't wait to see how she grows and changes over the next months and years!

Funny Valentine

I loved the idea of doing something non-candy for Micah's valentines this year. I have absolutely nothing against candy (I quite enjoy procuring my cut from my kid's Halloween bags, valentine's haul and even the Easter basket that comes home from the school egg hunt. I'm going to be bummed when they are old enough to eat it all themselves) but at this age they are getting plenty so I thought I'd do crayons instead....



I LOVE THEM!!! Sixteen completely unique crayons for Micah's classmates. I wish I'd had time to pick my faves for photographing, but I grabbed the top two 3 minutes before it was time to go to school....



I found the idea for these Valentines on a craft blog that I follow and I used this crayon tutorial from Pinterest along with this printable.


Micah signed the back of each one with some help from mama (he can draw lines and a circle and spell his name, but he's not quite to writing letters yet :)~

He was so excited and proud of them.... I'm glad I took the time to make them this fall, otherwise there is no way they would have happened!

Da Zoo

Nate and my mom took the kiddos to the zoo a while back before Nate went back to work after Janie's birth. I'm so glad the kids got to get out and have some fun in beautiful weather and I can't wait until I get to go with them myself!

Micah loves the giraffes... especially feeding them. Lizzie was upset that they weren't allowed to eat the goldfish from her snack cup~

My kids consider the carousel an instrument of torture and yet beg to ride it each time.... go figure~

A Photo a Day- Part 2

Remember this?-


Well here is my second installment :)

Day 6- Dinner--> To be fair, this was dessert (at Bunco).. I forgot to take a picture of dinner!

Day 7- Button --> The handicapped door button at Kingsland. I stared at this at 6 am as I sat outside Micah's school to sign him and Lizzie up for preschool next year.

Day 8- Sun --> Or in this case, son ;-)

Day 9- Front Door --> I had a crush on our door the moment I saw it... no lie.

Day 10- Self Portrait --> It takes courage for me to photograph myself right now. No sleep + 20 extra pounds makes me more than a little self conscious.

Day 11 - Makes me happy --> Jane's hair after a bath.

Day 12- In my closet --> My (now) very organized pantry makes me giddy every time I open it!

Day 13- Blue --> Which is what Jane is here... she is being forced to stay awake to try to get her night and day schedules to switch. Cue Patsy Cline~
