I have been SO blessed in the friends that God has brought into my life in Katy. I have had a consistent playgroup full of girls with kiddos that are all within 3 months of Micah's age. It is really fun to watch the kiddos grow and learn and just see how they change. One thing that playgroup has made glaringly clear is the difference between boys and girls. Let's just say, it starts early :)
The girls in our group are all three months older than Micah, so they have a head start, but also.. they're girls. Last week during swimming, the girls were speaking in complete sentences and asking their moms questions or making observations. I was astounded. Courtney (the only other one there last week with a boy) looked at me and we both had our jaws to the floor. We started laughing as Micah and Carter added their 2 cents to the conversation.. "Airplane!!! Ooooo!" and "FEE, FEE!!" (fish, fish!) At least boys are less complicated :)

Definitely a differece and I agree that girls start everything earlier than boys. I'm amazed at how quickly Taylor is picking up on things and speaking in two word sentences at 14 months when it took Mason close to 2 years.
Just because the boys don't feel any compulsion to blurt out every silly thing that comes into their puddin heads doesn't mean they aren't thinking DEEP thoughts.
