Never Trust a Paper Doll

One of Jen Cates' kids sent a Flat Stanley with us on our trip to Holland. We were all excited about bringing him... we thought he'd be a fun, wholesome companion. Boy were we wrong. Above is a picture of Flat Stanley where we found him in the red light district in Madurodam. Madurodam is a park of sorts full of miniature versions of all the important buildings in the Netherland. It's meant for kids. (Yes, they put a miniature red light district in a theme park meant mostly for kids... welcome to Holland) We had adjusted to Stanley's pervy ways, but thought that he'd be ok at Madurodam.... once again, we were sooooo wrong.
Moral of the story is, always run background checks on paper dolls before you bring them to ultra liberal countries :)

What about a background check on his guardians? All I'm saying is our Flat Stanley didn't go near the Moulin Rouge or the like. As I recall, he did go to church...

Ah, but you also were keeping an eye on this Stanley. Obviously his issues run deeper than all of us...

Check your email...our boy wasn't in the confessional booth. He was boldly approaching the throne of grace to find help in time of need. He knows how to withstand temptation!

I woke up late today. It looked like a picture of a really huge flat stanley to me. I was scared.

Great shot! He could have used more discretian in where he posed, but perhaps he was just passing by:) It does remind me of Amsterdam, though.

The kids had a hard time with the perspective. They kept asking me how Flat Stanley got so big. :) They loved it!
