Bag Lady

Confession~ I have completely stopped wearing makeup (what little I did wear) to work. I also have reduced the number of times a week at work that my hair is fixed in anything but a ponytail to 1 time a week... or once every two weeks.. it varies :) I also have stopped pulling together outfits the night before and am now left wearing whatever I throw together at 5:30 am. It nice to keep expectations low... then when you show up at the Christmas party with your hair blow dried and a bit of mascara, they think you went all out :)

Oh, Abby. Before you know it, we'll be writing letters to Oprah about you. "When she was still on the market she used to bedazzle us...now that she found her man and feels comfortable at her job, she's left behind all the glitz and glamour..."

Somebody get this girl some lipgloss, mascara, and Fredric Fekkai hair products fast!!

--Not that you have to have these things to be beautiful, but you're living in Texas. The beauty expectations (and the hair) are higher.

This actually started before I got married. I don't consider it that much of a loss... I'm not makeup savvy enough for it to make too huge of a difference anyway. Just think, me looking worse makes all the girls in Houston look just a little bit better.

Oh dear. Ladies of Houston. We need an intervention faster than I thought.

If we're lucky, maybe What Not to Wear will come help us!! I love that show! And, Abby, you'll get 5 grand to buy new clothes! I haven't really observed Nate's clothing before, but if we could get him to need help, too, maybe you all could be on the couple's edition. For now, keep doing what you're doing so we can get the secret footage filmed and have good/bad examples.

Whoa there.. my clothes aren't that bad! Although I have considered faking secret footage before to get the clothes money on that show :)

Well I am not married and I too wear no make up and my hair in a ponytail to school most days... I also have glasses instead of contacts... I attribute it to my extreme laziness and the lack of datable men in my classes... sad but true... That is just how I roll. :) I always think it is funny when I have something after school to go to that I actually care about... Everyone gives me a hard time. :) Probably because I look drastically different when I try...

At least we are confident enough to walk out of the house without makeup... To bad we do it most days. :)
